Siding Repairs
Within 20-years of their original construction, WCCW Buildings Y and R began yielding to the marine weather of Puget Sound. Crumbling wood siding allowed weather to break-through the building envelope, damaging the structure and interior finishes. This project removed failing elements, allowing repairs to be made to the building structure.

Project Overview
Damaged insulation was replaced and missing insulation added. Upgrades include a weather-resistant barrier and rain-screen designed to protect the building from wind and rain. An exterior wall cavity was added to allow drainage and promote convection ventilation for drying.
Extruded aluminum planks and prefinished metal flashings replaced deteriorating wood siding and trim. Woodgrain finishes and solid-color trims complement the original architecture and campus aesthetic. This project was completed within budget and ahead of schedule.
