Project Overview
The Landfill Office and Vehicle Storage Building for Stevens County Public Works is a 14,600 SF pre-engineered, insulated metal building. This facility is used to store and maintain the landfill vehicles. Our team worked with Stevens County and the landfill to design, bid and build this utility building in Kettle Falls, WA.
The building houses six large, interior climate controlled vehicle bays. Also inside is a crew room accompanied by a toilet, shower and lockers for the workers. Above this interior space is a mezzanine providing much needed storage space. Outside, an additional exterior covered wash bay is located on the north end of the building. And the building exterior is designed to provide covered storage for waste oil and other items requiring protection from the elements.
Building construction included the extension of utilities and fire suppression systems as well as the addition of a septic system and drain field to serve the plumbing needs of the facility.
